The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Han Sangwon · Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on the 4th that Kim Younggi, Executive Director of Hanul Welfare Foundation, has joined as the 108th Honor Society member.
On that day, Executive Director Kim pledged 100 million won, received the Honor Society membership plaque, and joined in spreading the culture of sharing.
Executive Director Kim said, “Although I am not wealthy, as a social worker, I had a wish to join the Honor Society and practice sharing. I sincerely thank my beloved wife who changed me, her husband, and brought me to this position,” and added, “I am very happy to be able to contribute even a little to creating a happy society where everyone can live together.”
Han Sangwon, Chairman of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, said, “I sincerely thank you for joining as the first Honor Society member in Gwangju in the new year 2020,” and added, “Many people will take Honor Member Kim Younggi as a role model and participate in sharing.”
Meanwhile, the Honor Society is a group of high-value individual donors of the Community Chest of Korea. Those who pledge to donate 100 million won or more either as a lump sum or within five years to solve local community problems and lead the maturation of the donation culture, thereby promoting the development of the social community, are granted membership qualifications.
