[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] A vehicle driven by a man in his 40s fled from the police who responded to a suspected drunk driving report, eventually crashing into a toll booth barrier and coming to a stop.
According to the Busan Nambu Police Station on the 4th, a report of suspected drunk driving was received by the police at around 12:27 a.m. that day.
On that day, a citizen reported to the police, "A Porsche driving ahead on the Gwangandaegyo Bridge in Nam-gu, Busan, hit the guardrail and was driving in a zigzag pattern, raising suspicion of drunk driving."
The police who responded to the report found the vehicle in question and issued a stop order, but the vehicle fled.
The vehicle, fleeing at high speed from Gwangandaegyo Bridge to a location 4 km away, finally stopped after crashing into the protective barrier at the entrance of the Busan Harbor Bridge toll booth.
The driver, Mr. A, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital, and the front part of the vehicle was found to be severely damaged.
