Jindo-gun Opens Youth Center as a Hub Space for Youth Communities
Operation of Employment and Startup Counseling Room, Online Youth Center, Multipurpose Room
Expected to Serve as a Catalyst for Youth Capacity Building and Community Revitalization

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it held the opening ceremony of the Jindo-gun Youth Center, a hub space for revitalizing youth communities, on the 31st of last month and has officially started operations.
The Youth Center is expected to contribute not only to strengthening youth capabilities but also to revitalizing the community by supporting youth employment, start-ups, education, and cultural and artistic activities.
The Youth Center, established after being selected for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s ‘2019 Regional Community Revitalization Foundation Project,’ was created by renovating the Local Culture Hall.
The Youth Center supports youth entrepreneurship schools, job consulting, Hope Youth Academy, mentor classes, pop-up stores, artist exhibitions, club activities, and operates as a community space for the youth of Jindo-gun.
At the opening ceremony, about 200 people including Lee Dong-jin, Jindo-gun Governor, officials from Jeollanam-do, members of the Jindo-gun Youth Policy Council, and youth from various fields attended, toured the facility, wrote messages of hope, and viewed works by youth club artists.
Lee Dong-jin, Jindo-gun Governor, stated, “We will make the Youth Center a mecca for employment and start-up support, community revitalization, and cultural and creative activities.”

Meanwhile, the Youth Center is equipped with various spaces such as employment and start-up counseling rooms, an online youth center, youth club rooms, and multipurpose rooms. It operates from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, with the youth club rooms and multipurpose rooms available by prior reservation.
