[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin District, on January 31st, encouraged on-site workers who have been working hard under the 24-hour emergency system as the prevention of the novel coronavirus infection became more important, and conducted an on-site inspection to check whether the manual was being properly followed.
Mayor Kim visited the screening clinics set up at the district health center and Jayang branch office to receive a report on the current situation and encourage the staff. Afterwards, he visited Dongseoul Terminal, where there is a large floating population, to check the status of support supplies such as masks and hand sanitizers, and inspected whether the thermal imaging cameras were operating normally.
He then visited social welfare facilities to check if there were any shortages of support supplies or additional support needs, and guided the residents using the facilities on preventive measures such as wearing masks and washing hands.
Finally, as concerns about the coronavirus increased, he visited the shops around Konkuk University Station, which had become quiet, to encourage the merchants.
