Second Meeting Held Following WHO's Declaration of 'International Public Health Emergency'... Temporary Screening Clinic Set Up in Sinsa-dong, Operating from 9 AM to 6 PM Starting February 1

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) held an emergency second meeting on January 31 to respond to the novel coronavirus following the World Health Organization (WHO)'s declaration of a 'Public Health Emergency of International Concern.'
At the meeting, the district decided to set up a temporary screening clinic next to the Sinsa-dong Community Service Center, where many Chinese residents live, and operate it from February 1, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Through various activities such as basic epidemiological investigations, patient case classification, and targeted publicity in areas with a large Chinese population, the district aims to prevent the community spread of the novel coronavirus.
Additionally, the district is carrying out various preventive measures including ▲additional distribution of hand sanitizers and masks ▲expansion of thermal imaging cameras ▲operation of three screening clinics (public health center, Yangji Hospital, Sinsa-dong Community Service Center) ▲disinfection and continuous inspection of cultural and multi-use facilities ▲focused promotion of preventive guidelines for short-term lodging businesses and large restaurants ▲and diverse prevention activities through media such as the website, electronic display boards, and banners.
