Daegu Seo-gu and Chungbuk Jeungpyeong Added to Unsold Housing Management Areas... Icheon and Gunsan Excluded
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Seo-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City and Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do have been designated as unsold housing management areas. On the other hand, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do and Gunsan-si, Jeollabuk-do have been excluded from the unsold housing management areas.
The Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) announced on the 31st that a total of 36 areas (6 in the metropolitan area and 30 in local areas) were selected as the 41st unsold housing management areas.
Compared to the previous month, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do and Gunsan-si, Jeollabuk-do were excluded from the unsold housing management areas, while Seo-gu, Daegu and Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do were added. The total number of areas remains 36, the same as the previous month.
As of the end of December last year, the unsold houses in the unsold housing management areas totaled 31,964 units, accounting for about 67% of the nationwide total of 47,797 unsold houses.
