Man in his 30s Threatens Arson and Breaks into Church with a Weapon, Emergency Admission to Psychiatric Hospital

The Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju announced on the 30th that they have booked A (34) on charges including obstruction of official duties and have placed him under emergency hospitalization.
A is suspected of entering a church located in Gwangsan-gu around 12:10 a.m. that day, carrying a weapon and threatening to set it on fire.
Police who responded to a report from a church official arrived at the scene and arrested A on the spot.
According to the police, A reportedly headbutted an officer during the arrest process, causing injury.
