Gurye-gun Holds Meeting on Measures Against 'Novel Coronavirus'
Distribution of 50,000 Masks... 24-Hour Response System Activated
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] On the 29th, Jeonnam Gurye-gun announced that it held a new coronavirus infection countermeasure meeting at the county office's disaster comprehensive situation room on the 28th.
At the meeting, related organizations including the Gurye Police Station attended to discuss response measures.
Through the meeting, Gurye-gun will implement response measures such as ▲ operating a 24-hour response system ▲ distributing 50,000 masks and 2,000 hand sanitizers to public institutions, etc. (population 26,000) ▲ operating two screening clinics (Gurye-gun Health and Medical Center, Gurye Hospital) and two isolation facilities (Gurye-gun Health and Medical Center, Youth Training Center) ▲ expanding public awareness campaigns such as village broadcasts on preventive measures.
Lee Doo-sung, Deputy Governor of Gurye-gun, stated, “Today's meeting was held to proactively respond to the spread of the new coronavirus infection,” and added, “We will mobilize all administrative power to prevent blind spots in infectious disease control.”

Gurye-gun urged people not to visit medical institutions to minimize additional contact and to report instead. Upon reporting, the Health and Medical Center will visit suspected patients to conduct epidemiological investigations, isolation, and testing.
