Hampyeong Fire Station Urges Securing Fire Truck Exclusive Zones Within Apartments
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Hampyeong Fire Station (Chief Im Donghyun) has urged active participation in securing fire truck-only parking zones within apartment complexes.
According to Hampyeong Fire Station on the 29th, under Article 21-2 of the Fire Services Act (Fire Truck Exclusive Zones, etc.), it is mandatory to install fire truck-only parking zones in multi-family housing to facilitate smooth firefighting activities.
According to the Fire Services Act and the Enforcement Decree of the Road Traffic Act, the targets for securing fire truck-only zones are apartments with 100 or more households and dormitories with three or more floors.
At least one fire truck-only zone measuring 12m in width and 6m in length must be installed either at the front or rear.
In fire truck-only zones, acts such as ▲parking and storing items ▲stacking items or blocking the entrance on the front, rear, or access road ▲erasing or damaging the exclusive zone pavement markings ▲or any other actions that obstruct fire trucks from parking or entering the exclusive zone will result in a fine of up to 1 million KRW.
