Miryang City Dementia Safety Center Conducts 'Friend Recommendation Memory Test'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Miryang City, Gyeongsangnam-do (Mayor Park Il-ho) will implement the 'Friend Recommendation Memory Test' project starting next month to increase the early dementia screening rate and encourage voluntary participation among the elderly.
This project allows seniors aged 60 and over who have undergone a memory test (early dementia screening) to become friend recommenders and bring elderly friends who have not yet been tested to the Dementia Safety Center for a memory test, upon which they will be given a portable shopping basket as a gift.
Memory tests must be conducted annually starting at age 60. They are available free of charge year-round at the Dementia Safety Center on the 3rd floor of the Health Center annex, and diagnostic and differential test fees based on the test results are also supported.
