On the 25th, LG Electronics opened a free laundry room called ‘Life’s Good with LG Wash’ in part of the LG brand shop located in Kano State, Nigeria.
LG Electronics equipped the laundry room with the latest washing machines, dryers, as well as irons, fabric softeners, detergents, and other necessary laundry supplies. An air conditioner was also installed to help residents cool off while doing laundry during the summer.
To ensure uninterrupted use of the laundry room even during sudden power outages, an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) was provided so that residents can conveniently use the facility at any time.
This is the third time LG Electronics has installed a free laundry room in Nigeria. After first opening one in the Ogba village in 2017, another was opened in the Mgboba village in 2018.
So far, more than 25,000 residents have used the free laundry rooms, washing over 190,000 pieces of clothing.
LG Electronics expects that by using the free laundry rooms, Nigerian residents will enjoy cleaner and more hygienic living conditions, thereby improving their quality of life.
The ‘Executive Social Contribution Fund’ was used to open this laundry room. Since 2004, LG Electronics has been allocating a certain percentage of executives’ salaries annually to this fund, which is used for volunteer activities and community improvements both domestically and internationally.
