Samsung Display President Donghoon Lee Appointed as President of the Korean Information Display Society

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Korean Information Display Society (KIDS) held its 2020 New Year's ceremony on the 21st at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and announced on the 22nd that Lee Dong-hoon, President of Samsung Display, was appointed as the 14th president of the society.
The newly appointed President Lee stated, "The next five years in the Korean display industry will be a period of challenges comparable to the past 50 years," adding, "The society must play a leading role in change through basic technology research, expansion of R&D infrastructure, training of professionals, and industry-academia projects."
President Lee also concurrently serves as the chairman of the Display Association, and the industry expects that a systematic cooperation system will be established to create synergy.

The Korean Information Display Society was established in 1999 with the purpose of securing basic display technology, leading future core technologies, and revitalizing research on industrial technology.
