The infected patient is a Chinese national woman who showed related symptoms while entering Incheon Airport from Wuhan, China, and was confirmed positive after testing. She is currently being transferred to a government-designated isolation ward for treatment.
Wuhan pneumonia, which first occurred in Wuhan, China, is a type of novel coronavirus. After infection, symptoms such as fever, chills, and muscle pain appear, and in severe cases, it can lead to death. It has also been found to have high human-to-human transmissibility. In China, the outbreak area, more than 200 infected cases have already occurred in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong Province. He explained, "i3system, established in 1998, is Korea's number one specialized company in 'infrared image sensors' and supplies security and surveillance infrared cameras to airports, train stations, and ports," adding, "'Wuhan pneumonia' symptoms such as fever and chills can be distinguished, so a temporary demand expansion is expected. Recently, due to a reduction in production costs, supply is expanding to various product groups such as automobiles and smartphones, making it a time to pay attention."
