Lee Hyung-seok, Democratic Party Supreme Council Member, Urges "Ahn Cheol-soo to Escape the Illusion from 4 Years Ago"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Lee Hyung-seok, Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated, "I feel regretful that even the Alternative Party, which was once an ally during the 20th general election, harshly criticized former lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo, who declared his political comeback and returned to the country, saying he is 'not a triumphant return but merely a prodigal son who has come back.'"
In his remarks at the 203rd Supreme Council meeting of the Democratic Party of Korea, Supreme Council Member Lee said, "Four years ago, Ahn Cheol-soo was someone not well known in Gwangju, but after the 2017 presidential election, I hope you recognize that Gwangju knows Ahn Cheol-soo very well," adding, "If you still hold illusions about Gwangju and Honam, it is time to erase them."
