[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 17th at 5 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the opening ceremony of the ‘Kkeullim Youth Hangout’ held on the 4th floor of the Sangsang Irum Center at 502 Nohae-ro, Nowon-gu.
The youth hangout was established to allow youth to independently operate and plan play and cultural spaces by utilizing idle spaces within the community.
The newly opened ‘Kkeullim Youth Hangout’ on the 4th floor of the Sangsang Irum Center (502 Nohae-ro, Nowon-gu) covers an area of 92.96㎡ and is equipped with a youth stage for singing and dance performances, an open kitchen for cooking, and a study space for comfortable studying.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 80 people, including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, district council members, officials from local youth facilities, and youth. The event proceeded with a youth band congratulatory performance, a report on the creation process of the youth hangout, a greeting from the mayor, a talk concert with youth, releasing helium balloons filled with hopes, and a tour of the facility.
Nowon-gu will hold the third youth hangout opening ceremony on the 28th at 5 PM at the Nowon Child Welfare Center.
