Samsung Electronics + Government and Corporate Bond Fund Emerges... "Catching Two Rabbits: Capital Gains and Dividends"
Shinhan BNPP Launches 'Samsung Electronics Alpha Bond Mixed Fund'
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] A fund composed of Samsung Electronics stocks, government bonds, and high-quality investment-grade corporate and financial bonds has been launched.
Shinhan BNP Paribas Asset Management announced on the 20th that it launched the 'Shinhan BNPP Samsung Electronics Alpha Bond Mixed Fund,' which invests in Samsung Electronics stocks, government bonds, and investment-grade bonds, on the 17th.
This fund invests more than 50% of its assets in government bonds, local government bonds, special bonds, and corporate and financial bonds with an investment grade of A- or higher. The only equity investment asset, Samsung Electronics, employs an active trading strategy and adjusts the allocation ratio according to stock market conditions, flexibly determining the investment proportion up to a maximum of 30% or the market capitalization weight. For public offering funds, investment in a single stock is limited to within 10% of the fund's assets; however, an exception is made for stocks whose market capitalization weight exceeds 10%, allowing investment up to the market capitalization weight of that stock.

Jung Seonghan, Head of the Alpha Management Center at Shinhan BNP Paribas Asset Management, stated, "Since 2011, Samsung Electronics has consistently outperformed the KOSPI index, and its dividend yield is higher than the KOSPI dividend yield, making it a representative stock with both growth potential and profitability. The profits from all business sectors, including semiconductors, mobile, and home appliances, are improving, so the long-term stock price outlook is favorable." He added, "In addition to the tax-exempt benefits from trading gains and long-term capital gains on Samsung Electronics stock, high dividend income is also expected due to steady operating profit growth."
