Daegu City Strengthens Safety Management of Multi-use Facilities Ahead of Holidays
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] Daegu City announced on the 20th that it will conduct intensive inspections on the safety management status of multi-use facilities ahead of the Seol holiday.
A total of 200 locations are targeted, including 138 sales facilities such as traditional markets and large marts, 36 cultural and assembly facilities such as movie theaters, 4 express and intercity bus terminals, 14 amusement ride facilities, 5 water facilities, and 3 cable cars.
The city formed inspection teams jointly with building experts, fire officials, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, and the Elevator Safety Agency.
They will check the maintenance and management of fire-fighting and evacuation/fire prevention facilities, defects such as building cracks and leaks, safety management status of electrical and gas facilities, and elevator safety management and operation status.
