Dilcar Launches 'Dilcar Club', Korea's First Used Car Subscription Service
All Hyundai Kia Models (Within 5 Years)
Switching Cost 50,000 KRW Allows Vehicle Exchange Anytime
Up to 10% Discount for 12-Month Subscription
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Hyundai Capital's car-sharing platform Dealcar announced on the 20th that it will launch Korea's first used car subscription service, 'Dealcar CLUB.'
The subscription service is a new concept mobility service where customers pay a monthly subscription fee during the contract period and can choose and drive the desired vehicle at a reasonable price.
Dealcar introduced Dealcar CLUB based on the know-how accumulated over the past year by collaborating with manufacturers and small and medium rental companies to operate monthly subscription programs such as Genesis 'Spectrum,' Hyundai 'Selection,' and Kia 'Flex.'
Dealcar CLUB can be easily used through a mobile app without complicated paperwork. When customers select the desired vehicle and subscription period in the Dealcar CLUB app, a delivery driver directly delivers the vehicle to the desired date and location.
There are also various products. There is a Light type (under 500,000 KRW per month) for economical vehicle use, a Standard type (500,000 to 1,000,000 KRW per month) offering reasonable prices and a wider range of vehicle choices, and a Premium type (over 1,000,000 KRW per month) for enjoying high-end luxury vehicles, providing customers with a wide range of options. Additionally, customers can experience all Hyundai and Kia models within 5 years of manufacture regardless of vehicle type such as large, mid-size, compact, or SUV, and can switch to any desired vehicle anytime by paying a switching fee of 50,000 KRW.
The longer you subscribe, the greater the discount benefits. A 5% discount is applied for a 3-month subscription, 7.5% for 6 months, and up to 10% for 12 months. Also, there are no separate fees or penalties for early termination of the service.
Dealcar CLUB is available in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi areas, with free delivery up to 20 km. Vehicle rental and return are possible from 9 AM to 7 PM, and once delivery starts, customers can check the delivery driver and delivery information in the app.
Lee Young-hoon, CEO of Dealcar, said, "This year, we will greatly expand sales channels and collaborate with small and medium rental companies nationwide to become the number one platform business in the car-sharing and short-term rental market."
