CJ Group Conducts 'Seollal Holiday Food Sharing Volunteer Service' for Employees
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] CJ Group conducted a 'Seolnal Holiday Food Sharing Volunteer Service' over two days starting from the 16th, targeting about 50 regional children's centers nationwide.
Organized by CJ Group's social contribution platform 'CJ Donors Camp,' this volunteer service was planned to deliver warm affection to neighbors in need of attention ahead of the holiday. About 300 employees directly visited regional children's centers supported by CJ Donors Camp across the country to make and share holiday foods with the children.
The holiday table was composed of menus using CJ CheilJedang's representative home meal replacement (HMR) products so that children could easily set up a holiday meal. The main dishes prepared included 'Tteok Mandu-guk' made with 'Bibigo Hanseom Mandu,' 'Donggeurangttaeng' made with 'Bibigo Thick Donggeurangttaeng,' 'Galbijjim' cooked with 'Bibigo Pork Galbi Jjim,' and 'Jeon' made with 'Baeksul Ready-to-Cook Kimchi Jeon/Seafood Pajeon.'
In addition to the holiday table, an event was held to learn about holiday foods and cultures from various countries around the world, including Korea. After exploring different holiday cultures and foods by country, participants shared stories about Korean cuisine, which is loved worldwide, creating meaningful memories.
A CJ Donors Camp official said, "Thanks to the voluntary and active participation of CJ Group members, this sharing volunteer service shone even brighter," adding, "We hope it was an enjoyable experience and a memorable opportunity for the children to learn about traditional culture."

Meanwhile, based on the group's CSV practice principles of 'sincerity, sustainability, business linkage, and employee participation,' CJ Group is actively engaging in various social contribution activities that coexist with local communities. Employee volunteering is also actively carried out, with about 20,000 CJ employees participating in approximately 2,000 group and affiliate unit volunteer programs last year, accumulating about 120,000 hours of volunteer work.
