4600 Participants Selected for 'Seoul-type New Deal Jobs'
Guarantee of Seoul-Type Living Wage for up to 23 Months
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 19th that it will select 4,600 participants for the 'Seoul-type New Deal Jobs' program.
Participants will be guaranteed the Seoul-type living wage (hourly wage of 10,530 KRW) and paid holidays for up to 23 months across various fields such as economy, culture, and welfare. Job experience through New Deal Jobs will be linked to employment by providing job-specific and employment competency training.
The first recruitment period is from the 20th to the 4th of next month, during which 787 people will be prioritized for selection in 108 projects over two weeks. Private public offering projects excluded from the first recruitment will recruit participants separately by each project department.
The maximum participation period is 23 months. A maximum of 2.23 million KRW per month will be paid, and paid holidays are guaranteed on public holidays.
Citizens wishing to participate can check eligibility requirements, job details, and working conditions for each project on the Seoul Job Portal and the Seoul Metropolitan Government website. Online applications are available for seven days (five weekdays) from the 29th of this month to the 4th of next month.
