Gyeongbuk Province and 23 Cities and Counties Resolve to Ensure Success of '2020 Daegu Gyeongbuk Tourism'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Gyeongbuk Province and 23 cities and counties have agreed to join forces to attract 30 million tourists in celebration of the '2020 Daegu·Gyeongbuk Tourism Year.'
Governor Lee Cheol-woo and the mayors and county heads held a resolution meeting for the success of tourism in Gyeongbuk after the 9th regular meeting of the Gyeongbuk Mayors and County Heads Council of the 7th local government term at the provincial government Hwabaek Hall on the 16th.
The mayors and county heads listened to the 2020 tourism promotion plan for Gyeongbuk and agreed to work together to achieve the province's goal of 30 million tourists (1 million foreigners) this year.
Governor Lee Cheol-woo explained, "Tourism has a great ripple effect on job creation and related industries," adding, "In celebration of the Daegu·Gyeongbuk Tourism Year this year, we have been promoting and marketing nationwide since the beginning of the year."
