KMA-KAIST Strengthen Collaboration on AI 'AlphaWeather' in Meteorology Field
Signing of Business Agreement on the 17th
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) will sign a memorandum of understanding on the 17th to develop 'AlphaWeather' and foster AI experts in the meteorological field.
AlphaWeather is a program that applies artificial intelligence technology to utilize approximately 150,000 data points per hour, supporting forecasters in producing rapid and accurate forecast information.
Through this agreement, KMA and KAIST will continue collaboration in jointly developing AI technology for the meteorological field, training experts, and sharing data for algorithm development.
