[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sunhee] U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss solutions to the Libya crisis and Iran's downing of a Ukrainian passenger plane.
The Turkish presidential office announced on the 16th (local time) that President Erdogan had a phone call with President Trump the previous day, stating that "they exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, including Libya." They also added, "The two leaders discussed the direction of the development of bilateral relations."
The U.S. White House also released a statement saying, "The two leaders discussed the Libya crisis, protests in Iran, and Iran's downing of the Ukrainian passenger plane over the phone."
