Yongin Mayor Baek Gun-gi Attending University Student Administrative Experience Training: "I Will Create Many Jobs"
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Baek Gun-gi, mayor of Yongin City, promised, "We will prepare various programs to help university students settle into society."
Mayor Baek emphasized this while welcoming and encouraging participating university students at the orientation for the winter university student administrative experience training held on the 16th at the City Hall Ace Hall.
At the event, Mayor Baek said, "We have organized the program so that students can properly understand administration and it can also help with career planning," adding, "Please take more interest in city administration during this opportunity and also propose policies."
He also said, "Yongin City is striving to provide quality jobs for young people by attracting large-scale companies," promising, "We will support our youth through various programs in the future so that they can settle into society."
The university students participating in this training program will start with the orientation on this day and work at City Hall, district offices, eup/myeon/dong offices, and affiliated organizations until the 14th of next month, gaining various administrative experiences.
The city has structured the program to practically help with career decisions by providing opportunities for students to engage in research club activities and make policy suggestions during the training period, as well as participate in career lectures and basic income fairs.

During the training period, trainees work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive a daily wage of 82,320 KRW (applying Yongin City's living wage of 10,290 KRW per hour).
