Gyeonggi-do Invests 5.5 Billion KRW in Small-Scale Business Environment Improvement Project
[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will invest 5.5 billion KRW in 388 small-scale business environment improvement projects across 29 cities and counties this year.
This year's business environment improvement projects are divided into four areas: infrastructure, knowledge industry centers, labor environment, and work environment. The province previously selected 388 projects as support targets through a demand survey conducted last year.
The total project cost is 17.7 billion KRW, of which the province will support 5.5 billion KRW.
The infrastructure improvement area includes 32 projects such as road expansion and paving, water supply and sewage, and public parking lots. The labor environment improvement area supports 85 projects that install or repair dormitories, cafeterias, restrooms, and rest areas for small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 300 employees.
Additionally, 20 projects target knowledge industry centers that are over 10 years old to renovate aging facilities, and 251 projects support the renovation and repair of workspaces for small manufacturing companies with fewer than 50 employees.
The province expects that upon completion of these projects, approximately 4,200 companies and 38,000 workers will benefit.
