Gyeonggi-do Launches Full-Scale Operation of 'Air Quality Diagnosis and Evaluation System'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has officially launched the air quality diagnosis and evaluation system.
The Gyeonggi-do Institute of Health and Environment announced that it will operate the "Gyeonggi-do Air Quality Diagnosis and Evaluation System" from the 16th to respond to high-concentration air pollution threatening the health of residents.
The air quality diagnosis and evaluation system consists of two parts: a resident information provision system that offers lifestyle activity information related to air quality, and a work system for officials in charge of air quality-related tasks in the province, cities, and counties.
Among these, the air quality information provision system for residents provides information such as ▲ air quality modeling results within the province ▲ air quality status by city, county, and province ▲ meteorological information, based on which lifestyle information by region according to air quality (outdoor activities, indoor ventilation, etc.) is offered.
This information can be accessed starting today through the Air Quality Information Service website (air.gg.go.kr) and the Air Modeling Information Service website (airmodel.gg.go.kr).
The Institute of Health and Environment also held a final report meeting on the same day to evaluate the performance of the "Gyeonggi-do Air Quality Diagnosis and Evaluation System" and discuss future development directions.
