Hana Financial Investment Launches 'Hana THE ONE AI2 Lab'
Maximizing Investment Efficiency by Combining AI-Accumulated Data with Lab Operation Expertise
Customized Global Asset Allocation Based on Investment Preferences
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Hana Financial Investment announced on the 15th that it has launched ‘Hana THE ONE AI2 Lab (Hana The One AI Square Lab)’, an investment product applying artificial intelligence (AI) to global asset allocation.
Hana THE ONE AI2 Lab is a product that diversifies investments in global assets using exchange-traded funds (ETFs), exchange-traded notes (ETNs), repurchase agreements (RPs), and cash equivalents listed on major global exchanges such as those in the United States. It analyzes risk and returns with AI to provide customized portfolios according to the return targets sought by customers.
Customers can choose from four styles of Hana THE ONE AI2 Lab based on expected returns. These include the ‘S’ (Safe) style with the highest bond allocation, the ‘M’ (Moderate) style with similar proportions of bonds and stocks, the ‘A’ (Aggressive) style with a higher stock allocation, and the ‘L’ (Leverage) style that uses leveraged ETFs.
Hana Financial Investment developed the AI model by analyzing vast data accumulated over the past 17 years based on macro variables in collaboration with Hana Financial TI’s Hana Financial Convergence Technology Institute. By applying the AI model combined with the capabilities of the lab management team to global asset allocation, investment efficiency was maximized.
Kwon Chang-jin, head of the lab management office at Hana Financial Investment, said, “The investment paradigm has shifted from relying on traditional fund managers’ judgment to data-driven machine learning and AI-based investment. Hana THE ONE AI2 Lab is a product created with AI experts from the Convergence Technology Institute within Hana Financial Group, operated through data-based AI algorithms, and launched in four options so customers can choose according to their preferences.”
Hana THE ONE AI2 Lab requires a minimum subscription of 10 million KRW, with additional deposits and withdrawals allowed. The minimum additional deposit is 10 million KRW, and partial withdrawals in cash are possible as long as the balance does not fall below the minimum subscription amount. Subscriptions must be made in Korean won or the currency of the investment target country, and a quarterly fee of 1.0% per annum on the subscription amount is charged in arrears. The contract period is one year, automatically renewed annually, and early termination is possible upon customer request.

Taxation follows the system for overseas stock trading and dividends. Since there is no separate currency hedging, exposure to exchange rate fluctuations exists, so exchange rates should be considered when investing. It is a discretionary investment contract managed and operated per customer account, and past returns do not guarantee future returns. Principal loss may occur depending on investment results.
