Yeonggwang-gun, Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project Applications Open
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 14th that it is accepting applications for the 2020 Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project to spread and promote agricultural technology.
This project aims to establish a foundation by early dissemination of new technologies developed by rural development institutions to farmers and contribute to increasing farm household income.
Additionally, pilot projects will be conducted on 139 sites across 35 types, including soil environment improvement using deep soil breaking and biochar, fostering eco-friendly chili pepper farms to respond to abnormal weather, and cultivating specialized farms for each variety of Lycoris radiata.
The application period is until the 12th of next month, and applications can be submitted at the agricultural consultation offices in towns and townships or at the Agricultural Technology Center.
Applicants must be farmers whose registered address is in the county and who are suitable for the purpose of each pilot project and have a high capacity to adopt new technologies.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “We hope that the dissemination of new technologies through various pilot projects amid changing agricultural conditions will contribute to improving farm management conditions and increasing income.”
