Chief Jeong graduated from the Police University Department of Public Administration (Class 11) in 1995 and has served in the Maritime Police Agency's Creativity and Responsibility Office, as Head of Investigation at Pyeongtaek Maritime Police Station, and as Head of Investigation and Intelligence at the Central Regional Maritime Police Agency. The former Chief Kim Tae-gyun has moved to the position of Head of Investigation and Intelligence at the Namhae Regional Maritime Police Agency.
