Dispatched to a Suspicious Prostitution Report, Found Illegal Immigrants
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Thirteen undocumented foreign nationals were caught by the police at a bar in Ulsan and handed over to the Immigration Office.
According to the Ulsan Nambu Police Station on the 14th, at around 8:30 a.m. that day, the police received a report saying, "There are many foreigners at a bar in Samsan-dong, and it seems like prostitution is taking place."
Police who responded to the report found 20 to 30 people, both Koreans and foreigners, at the bar.
The police controlled the entrance and investigated them, but no specific criminal charges such as prostitution were found. However, two foreign men and eleven foreign women were identified as undocumented immigrants.

A police official said, "All the undocumented immigrants are presumed to be Thai nationals," and added, "They were handed over to the Immigration Office."
