[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Park Won-soon, Mayor of Seoul, participated in a roundtable discussion at 2:30 PM (local time) on the 13th, invited by the prestigious foreign policy and security think tank, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and delivered a speech on the theme "Seoul's Advance Toward Peace."
Following this, Mayor Park continued the discussion with Scott Snyder, a senior fellow recognized as a North Korea expert in the United States. About 30 attendees, including Washington diplomats and Korea-related experts in the U.S., also participated in a Q&A session. CFR, established in 1921, is a foreign policy and security think tank composed of current and former political and business figures in the U.S.
Earlier, at 11 AM, Mayor Park met with Deputy Secretary Brian Bulatao at the U.S. Department of State to discuss mutual cooperation measures for establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula. Additionally, he was invited to attend the "Proud Korean Day" event hosted by the Korea Economic Institute of America in celebration of "Korean American Day."

At 5 PM, he visited FiscalNote, led by Tim Hwang. Tim Hwang, known as the second Zuckerberg, is a Korean-American young entrepreneur gaining attention in the U.S. startup scene. FiscalNote provides services that analyze the influence and data of all members of Congress using big data and artificial intelligence technology to predict the likelihood of bill passage. Mayor Park explored cooperation plans in the smart city sector and exchanged various opinions on how to efficiently integrate core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as big data and AI, into administration.
