Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Conducts 'Safety and Health Education' for School Meal Staff
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Jang Hwikuk) announced on the 13th that it will conduct the '2020 School Meal Staff Safety and Health Education.'
This training, held at the Gwangju Education Training Institute auditorium from today until July 18 in four sessions, will be attended by about 1,700 public and private school meal staff.
Under the Industrial Safety and Health Act, school meal staff must complete six hours of safety and health education each quarter.
Although the legal obligation is fulfilled by conducting a '10-minute safety and health education before work' daily at each school, the Gwangju Office of Education has prepared this training by inviting professional instructors to provide high-quality safety and health education.
The instructors were invited from safety and health specialized organizations such as the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the Gwangju Branch of the Korea Industrial Safety Association, and the Gwangju Workers' Health Center.
The education will focus on theory and hands-on experience, covering ▲Understanding the Industrial Safety and Health Act ▲Understanding Material Safety Data ▲Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders ▲Field-centered Risk Assessment ▲Emergency Measures and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
