[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 13th, Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced that it will publicly recruit operators for experience booths that will offer various attractions stimulating the five senses of tourists and provide special experiences at the 22nd Gwangyang Maehwa Festival.
The city plans to operate creative programs that highlight the connection with maehwa (plum blossoms) and maesil (plums) and provide tourists with special experiences and memories while interacting with them at the 22nd Gwangyang Maehwa Festival, held from March 6 to 15 in the Maehwa Village area of Daap-myeon.
The plan is to operate about 10 booths, and individuals or groups who have had an address in the Gwangyang area for more than six months as of the announcement date are eligible to participate.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form and booth operation plan from the announcements section on the Gwangyang City Hall website and submitting them in person or via email by 6 p.m. on the 23rd.
The recruitment fields include tourist experience-centered programs that can capture memories for families, couples, and other tourists, as well as creative experience programs that clearly reflect the connection with maehwa and maesil, such as wreath making, face painting, and accessory crafts.
The final participants will be announced in early February through the announcements section on the Gwangyang City Hall website after a strict evaluation based on popularity, expertise, and relevance.
Lee Hwayup, Director of the Tourism Division, said, “Recently, travel trends have shifted from merely sightseeing to emphasizing special experiences and activities. We plan to welcome tourists with differentiated programs that highlight the unique features of the Gwangyang Maehwa Festival,” adding, “We look forward to the participation of many talented individuals who can operate fresh and creative programs that stimulate the five senses of tourists.”
