Yeonggwang-gun 'New Year Practical Agricultural Training' Successfully Concluded
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 13th that it successfully completed the New Year Practical Agricultural Education hosted by the Yeonggwang-gun Agricultural Technology Center.
This education, held over a total of 10 sessions with about 1,000 participants, was conducted in meeting rooms of each eup and myeon office and welfare centers to quickly disseminate new technical information and design New Year farming plans.
The education aimed to strengthen agricultural competitiveness and revitalize rural areas by covering eco-friendly agriculture, rice cultivation technology, food crop fields, income crops such as chili peppers and onions, and also included education on the Pesticide Maximum Residue Limits (PLS) system, which requires the use of only registered pesticides per crop to supply safe agricultural products to the public, as well as agricultural machinery safety training.

Governor Kim Junsung said, “Through this education, I hope farmers find ways to respond to agricultural market liberalization by improving agricultural product quality and introducing cost-reduction technologies,” and added, “We will continue to provide ongoing education and support without hesitation.”
