30s Husband Stabs Wife Multiple Times with a Weapon After Getting Angry Over Divorce Request

On the 13th, the Gumi Police Station in Gyeongbuk announced that they had requested an arrest warrant for A (36) on charges of attempted murder for wielding a weapon against his Filipino wife demanding a divorce.
A is accused of following his Filipino wife B (27), who was packing her belongings and leaving their home in Sangmo-dong, Gumi-si, around 3:35 p.m. on the 10th, and stabbing her multiple times in an alley with a weapon.
A was arrested on the spot by police officers from the local precinct who witnessed the incident.
B, who sustained injuries to her face and neck, is reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.
