OB Brewery Launches 'OB Lager Lallabear' Package for Lunar New Year Celebration
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] OB Beer announced on the 13th that it will release a limited edition ‘OB Lager Lala Bear’ exclusive glass package nationwide through major supermarkets starting mid-January ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
This package consists of 12 cans of OB Lager 355ml, 2 exclusive glasses, and 1 ‘Lala Bear’ sticker. The exclusive glass is engraved with OB Lager’s iconic bear character ‘Lala Bear’ and retro-style lettering, evoking memories of old hop houses.
This special package is a limited edition of 40,000 boxes and will be sold at the same price as the existing 12-can package through major supermarkets nationwide such as E-Mart, Homeplus, and Lotte Mart.
An OB Beer official said, “Consumer response to the returning OB Lager has been enthusiastic. Especially to meet the active consumer demand for exclusive glasses, we planned this special package release,” adding, “OB Beer will continue to make relentless efforts to satisfy the diverse needs of consumers.”

OB Lager, which made a fresh comeback last year, uses 100% malt and only German hops to realize the deep and classic taste of ‘original all-malt’ beer, while lowering the alcohol content to 4.6% compared to the previous ‘Premier OB’ product (5.2%) and reducing bitterness for a smooth drinking experience. In particular, the friendly signature bear character ‘Lala Bear’ and retro-style typography in the product design have led the newtro design trend and stimulated consumers’ emotions. Recently, a comedic CF video featuring the original models Park Jun-hyung and Kim Eung-soo has also received enthusiastic responses on channels such as Instagram and YouTube.
