Yang Hyang-ja Preliminary Candidate Book Launch, Over 6,000 Residents Gathered 'Great Success'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The book launch event of Yang Hyang-ja, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for the National Assembly election in Seo-gu (Eul), Gwangju Metropolitan City, was successfully held on the 11th with the participation of about 6,000 residents and supporters.
Candidate Yang passionately stated, "Yang Hyang-ja wants to win," adding, "I don't want to win against people, but I want to compete and win against Changwon in Gyeongnam, which is promoting industrial advancement through smart factories, and against Ulsan, which will soon produce an electric vehicle-exclusive platform."
She continued, "I want to compete and win against Chungbuk, which is challenging to attract the 4th generation synchrotron accelerator, and Gangwon-do, which is actively working to attract the data industry," emphasizing, "I have a dream to create a Gwangju where the sons and daughters of Gwangju can settle and live, not as outsiders but in their hometown."
She added, "If you are a young person who has cherished your life, Gwangju should be a city where you don't have to worry about jobs, where talented youth can challenge startups and have opportunities to try again even if they fail," and said, "I want to make Gwangju a city where AI startup companies become unicorns with sales in the trillion-won range."
At the book launch event, about 6,000 people including Democratic Party Supreme Council members Park Kwang-on and Lee Hyung-seok, Chief Strategic Planning Advisor Choi Jae-sung, former Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Lee Gae-ho, National Assembly member Seo Sam-seok, Gwangju City Party Chairman Song Gap-seok, as well as politicians, provincial governors, educators, businesspeople, and residents attended.
