Mungisig, Chief of Gwangsan Fire Station in Gwangju, Conducts On-site Visit to Fire-Vulnerable Sites
All-Out Effort to Eliminate 'Fire Risk Blind Spots' Ahead of Seollal Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Moon Gisik, Chief of Gwangsan Fire Station in Gwangju, has begun on-site visits to fire-vulnerable locations in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to Gwangsan Fire Station on the 12th, Chief Moon started the visits on the 10th with a visit to Suwan Rehabilitation Nursing Hospital and will conduct on-site visits to five fire-vulnerable locations within the jurisdiction in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday.
This on-site visit was promoted as a preventive administrative practice where the chief personally visits to strengthen communication with related parties and conduct fire safety consulting to eliminate blind spots in fire risk.
It is also aimed at building a public-private cooperation system to enhance response capabilities in the event of a large-scale fire.
Additionally, Chief Moon plans to visit facilities expected to suffer significant damage in case of fire, such as the Korea Oil Pipeline Corporation Jeonnam Branch and Lotte Outlet Gwangju Suwan Branch, to directly inspect fire safety equipment and guide the strengthening of a voluntary safety management system centered on related personnel.
