'Jeonchamshi' Choo Dae-yeop "Copychu Idea Thanks to Yoo Byung-jae... Changed My Life"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] Comedian Chu Dae-yeop made an appearance on MBC's entertainment program 'The Manager'.
On the afternoon broadcast of MBC's 'The Manager' on the 11th, copy songwriter Copychu (Chu Dae-yeop) appeared. Copychu is a character acted out by Chu Dae-yeop on YouTube, and since the channel's launch, it has gained popularity among netizens, surpassing 100,000 subscribers.
During the broadcast, when MC Jeon Hyun-moo requested, "Please sing a song," Copychu said, "This song is called a detail song, originally an existing song," and performed a parody of Revival's song 'Heeya' titled 'Jaya' and a parody of singer Pyeon Seung-yeop's 'Chan Chan Chan'.
Copychu also addressed suspicions that he might be the same person as EBS character 'Pengsoo'. When Yoo Byung-jae asked, "There are suspicions that you are Pengsoo," Copychu replied, "The voices are similar," and even performed an impression of Pengsoo's voice.
He then said, "I am not Pengsoo, I am Copychu," adding, "There must be someone inside Pengsoo," which drew laughter from those around him.
Regarding his experiences before working as Copychu, he explained, "Before becoming a comedian, I worked at a live cafe," and added, "I have been trying music comedy for about 15 years."
He continued, "I also appeared on 'Comedy Big League,' but that was about it," and confessed, "I was going to quit because no one was seeking me out anymore."

He went on to say, "When I was struggling as a father with a child, Yoo Byung-jae contacted me," and expressed gratitude, "All the props and wigs I have now were purchased by Yoo Byung-jae out of his own pocket.
