Fishing Boat Sinks Off Tongyeong Coast... All 17 Crew Members Rescued
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] At around 7:08 PM on the 10th, a 9.77-ton fishing boat A was flooded 9 nautical miles southwest of Hongdo, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongnam, and 17 crew members were rescued by the Coast Guard.
The Tongyeong Coast Guard believes the flooding started due to a hole in the seawater pipe used to cool the generator.
Only the engine room was flooded, and two fishing boats operating nearby were attached to both sides of boat A, acting as supports, preventing a major accident.
