Woori Financial Multicultural Scholarship Foundation Recruiting Multicultural Children's Choir Members
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Financial Group's Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation announced on the 9th that it is recruiting multicultural children in kindergarten, elementary, and middle school to participate in the '2020 Woori Multicultural Children's Choir.'
The Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation is a public foundation established in 2012 with a 20 billion KRW endowment from Woori Bank and other affiliates of Woori Financial Group. It supports multicultural families to settle stably in Korean society through scholarship, education, and cultural projects.
The Woori Multicultural Children's Choir, founded in 2012, is the first multicultural children's choir in the financial sector. It is a representative social contribution project conducted by the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation to foster future talents in character education, culture, and arts for children from multicultural families in Korea. The choir participates in various activities, including choir competitions, performances at the National Foundation Day ceremony, and the World Multicultural Day ceremony.
Applicants must be multicultural children aged 7 to 16 who like singing and have talent. Applications are accepted on the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation website until the 31st of this month. Fifty final members will be selected through auditions next month. Regular classes are held every Wednesday and Saturday at the Woori Bank headquarters.
Selected choir members will receive professional choir education, including various music practice and theory, choreography, participation in performances and competitions, and opportunities to attend performances. All necessary expenses, including tuition and performance preparation costs, will be fully covered by the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation. Additionally, choir members will receive preferential selection benefits when applying for scholarships from the foundation.
