[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 8th, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) held the '2020 KIPO Support Project Joint Briefing Session' at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Seoul, targeting startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-sized companies, universities, and public research institutes. At this event, KIPO Commissioner Park Won-joo promised to revise laws to strengthen intellectual property protection, including realizing patent infringement damages and introducing a 'Korean-style discovery system' that allows all evidence in patent litigation to be mutually shared between parties to resolve disputes.
