Assemblyman Yoon Young-il Holds 'Visiting Policy Report Meeting' to Communicate with Residents
"I will continuously communicate and reflect the will of local residents in policies"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Assemblyman Yoon Young-il (Haenam, Wando, Jindo, National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee) is attracting attention as his “Visiting Constituency Report Meeting,” which directly communicates with residents of Haenam, Wando, and Jindo, is gaining explosive popularity.
As of the 8th, Yoon Young-il’s “Visiting Constituency Report Meeting,” held in 23 out of 33 towns and townships in Haenam-gun, Wando-gun, and Jindo-gun, has communicated openly with over 2,500 residents so far.
As Assemblyman Yoon Young-il’s legislative achievements are increasingly spreading by word of mouth, it is expected that the cumulative attendance will exceed 7,000 by the conclusion of the “Visiting Constituency Report Meeting” on the 14th, making it a so-called “big hit.”
At this report meeting, detailed updates were given on securing a budget of over 1 trillion won, including ▲rice target price of 214,000 won and 2.4 trillion won budget for the public interest direct payment system ▲400 billion won budget for electrification and construction of the Namhae railway between Boseong and Imseong-ri ▲376.2 billion won for the construction of the Gwangju-Wando Expressway ▲91.5 billion won for the Fishing Village New Deal 300 project (11 ports) ▲13.5 billion won in special grants, as well as legislative activities such as recognizing coastal passenger ships as public transportation and proposing a special real estate measures bill, which received great response from residents.
In particular, questions about regional projects such as ▲promotion of an undersea high-speed railway between Seoul and Jeju ▲early commencement of the second phase of the Gwangju-Wando Expressway ▲four-lane expansion of national roads between Okcheon and Doam, and between Posan and Seomang were met with candid explanations of efforts to reflect these in the national SOC comprehensive plan, including the 5-year plan for national and local roads, earning enthusiastic applause.
Assemblyman Yoon Young-il said, “I felt rewarded to have the opportunity to share concerns about regional issues experienced through my legislative activities with residents and to hear their valuable opinions,” adding, “I will continue to communicate tirelessly on regional issues that residents care about, such as rural development, low birthrate and aging policies, revitalization of local businesses, and improvement of transportation conditions, so that these can be directly reflected in policies.”
Having passed the halfway point, Yoon Young-il’s “Visiting Constituency Report Meeting” will continue after the National Assembly plenary session schedule with meetings at 10 a.m. on the 11th at Jodo-myeon, Jindo-gun (Jodo-myeon Office), 10 a.m. on the 13th at Gogeum-myeon, Yaksan-myeon, and Sinji-myeon, Wando-gun (Gogeum-myeon Office), at 2 p.m. the same day at Geumil-eup, Geumdang-myeon, and Saengil-myeon, Wando-gun (Geumil-eup Office), and at 10:30 a.m. on the 14th at Nohwa-eup, Bogil-myeon, and Soan-myeon, Wando-gun (Nohwa-eup Office).
