This soil layer cross-section preservation work will involve removing dust accumulated on the embankment cross-section, reinforcing cracks, and hardening treatment. Soil layer cross-section refers to a method of preserving the cross-section of soil layers by carefully removing soil according to a specific process.
The temporary closure will last for five days from the 13th to the 17th, and the exhibition hall will reopen for visitors from the 18th.
Lee Sangmok, director of the Ulsan Museum, said, “The soil layer cross-section in our exhibition hall is an exhibit that clearly shows the construction method of the Yaksadong Embankment, and preservation work has been conducted annually. Through this preservation, visitors will be able to see the soil layer cross-section that maintains its original form without further damage.”
