Iran Revolutionary Guard Commander-in-Chief: "We Will Turn Every Place the U.S. Cherishes into a Sea of Fire"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, issued a strong warning of retaliation against the United States at the funeral of Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force, held on the 7th (local time) in Kerman, the capital of Kerman Province in southeastern Iran.
In his memorial speech, Commander Salami said, "We will retaliate against the enemy (the United States)" and added, "We will turn every place they cherish into a sea of fire."
He continued, "Our revenge will be carried out in a strong, resolute, and complete manner," emphasizing, "We will make the enemy regret it."
The crowd gathered at the funeral responded with chants of "Death to America, death to Israel."
Commander Salami likened Soleimani to an "undying burning sun," criticizing, "The enemies made the mistake of throwing stones trying to break the sun."
Kerman is Soleimani's hometown, and he was buried there on this day.

On the 3rd, Soleimani was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad, Iraq. Starting from Baghdad, he was honored with large-scale funeral ceremonies over four days from the 4th to this day, visiting Shiite holy sites in Iraq and Iran, including Karbala in Iraq and Mashhad, Tehran, and Qom in Iran.
