Hwang Gyu-hwan, spokesperson for the Youth Division of the Liberty Korea Party, stated in a commentary on the 7th, "It is deplorable that the distorted mindset of the Democratic Party recruits, who were expected to represent the voices of South Korea's youth demanding fairness and justice, as well as the firefighters who serve the nation diligently, has emerged."
Spokesperson Hwang pointed out, "Mr. Oh referred to the admission fraud involving Cho Kuk's children as a customary practice among parents at the time. He called it a minor fault and blamed the media and prosecutors," adding, "Which parent would customarily forge certificates of commendation? Is the Cho Kuk scandal, which caused anger and a sense of deprivation among the entire nation, truly a minor fault? And if it is a customary practice, does that mean breaking the law is permissible?"
He also criticized the recently recruited youth member Won Jong-geon for saying in a media interview, "Although former Minister Cho Kuk was wrong, was the prosecution fair?" and "It does not seem that the prosecution is investigating from the perspective of fairness and justice," stating, "Claiming unfairness just because their views differ, being trapped in the delusion that only they represent justice, and blaming others for undesired outcomes are exactly the traits we have seen from the Democratic Party so far."
