Ha, the responsible representative, appeared on YTN Radio's 'Lee Dong-hyung's News Face-off' in the afternoon and said, "(The number of seats secured in this general election) is expected to be more than the past Saenuri Party, over 153 seats."
Regarding the recent emergence of the 'opposition party judgment theory' in public opinion polls, he said, "It means that the Korean Party must reflect and change more," adding, "They must honestly acknowledge this reality."
He continued, "Why did the New Conservative Party come out? Because there is more public opinion for judging the opposition party, reform is necessary. Reform through the Korean Party is insufficient, so the people demand us," and added, "Whether the New Conservative Party succeeds or fails is very important for the entire conservative faction and for the Republic of Korea."
Regarding Hwang Kyo-ahn, the Korean Party leader, announcing the formation of a unification promotion committee aiming for opposition unification before the general election, he remarked, "I think this is a process where we are winning. At first, they said they would create an internal party unification organization. But now, aren't they saying they will create it outside the party?"
Then, Ha said, "The former Saenuri Party members' official stance was 'Write a letter of reflection and rejoin.' So, they intended to do it within the party to expand the base. But today, I see they say they will create it outside the party. Anyway, the Korean Party is retreating now," adding, "The important thing is to sincerely accept the three principles of Yoo Seung-min, which we have consistently proposed."
He showed a positive response toward teenagers aged 18 and over who newly gained voting rights under the revised election law.
Ha said, "If a public opinion poll is conducted targeting them, the New Conservative Party will likely come in first," and expressed confidence, "The core issues for the 386 generation were ethnic issues, labor issues, and class issues. But now, for the 2030 generation, it is gender issues. This issue is highly volatile, so existing major parties or traditional parties have not dealt with it. However, our party has been working hard for about a year and a half to resolve gender conflicts, and in the process, we have gained trust."
