Gyeonggi-do Supports Nonprofit Private Organizations' Public Interest Projects with 1.25 Billion KRW Funding
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will provide 1.25 billion KRW to support public interest activities of non-profit private organizations.
On the 7th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will carry out the "Non-Profit Private Organization Public Interest Activity Support Project," providing project funds ranging from a minimum of 5 million KRW to a maximum of 50 million KRW per registered non-profit private organization in the province.
Statutory support organizations that already receive provincial funding based on other laws are excluded from eligibility.
The province decided to exclude statutory support organizations from participation starting this year to give more support opportunities to small-scale non-profit organizations.
In particular, to promote public-private cooperation, the province plans to give additional points during selection to organizations carrying out projects related to policies promoted during the 7th local government administration.
Organizations wishing to participate can refer to the Gyeonggi Provincial Government website (https://www.gg.go.kr/).
The province will hold an explanatory session about this project on the 9th at Dasan Hall, Gyeonggi Human Resources Development Institute, Jangangu, Suwon.
Next month, through the "Gyeonggi Province Public Interest Project Selection Committee," the province plans to comprehensively evaluate ▲organization capability ▲project content and ripple effects ▲budget feasibility, and then decide on support eligibility and amount.
