"Equipped with Cheollian, Analytical Skills, Judgment, Guts, and Strategy"
North Korea held the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party on December 28 last year, according to a report by the Korean Central News Agency on the 29th. The agency stated that Chairman Kim Jong-un led and managed the meeting.

The Workers' Party organ, Rodong Sinmun, in an editorial titled "The Nation's Endless Glory in Revering the Greatest Person Under Heaven," claimed, "Despite the increasingly tyrannical vile challenges and suppression schemes of the reactionaries of history, Korea, which reveres the unparalleled great man, is steadily advancing on the path of independence and resounding with the triumphant sounds of grand victories."
The newspaper referred to the 5th plenary meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party held last year under Chairman Kim's leadership, stating, "At the plenary meeting, an immortal outline was presented to break through the unprecedented severe crisis head-on, to protect the country's sovereignty and supreme interests to the end, and to open the path to victory in the Juche revolutionary cause under the banner of self-reliance and prosperity," emphasizing, "The future of Juche Korea, following the leadership of the peerless great Marshal, is endlessly brilliant, and our motherland will majestically rise as a socialist power admired by the world."
The newspaper said, "The Marshal, who possesses encyclopedic knowledge, outstanding insight, and exceptional creativity, firmly holds the rudder of history and powerfully leads the Juche revolutionary cause and the cause of human independence."
It added, "His far-sighted foresight, sharp analytical and judgment abilities, resolute determination and bold action, offensive spirit that breaks through obstacles, unparalleled courage and daring that always seize the initiative and achieve only victory, and the tactical ingenuity that turns misfortune into fortune and adversity into favorable circumstances amaze the world."
Furthermore, the newspaper continued its "praise" of Chairman Kim in a separate article titled "A Rare Statesman Who Created a Model of Independent Leadership." It mentioned some organizations and figures from Egypt, Mexico, Uganda, and Slovakia, asserting, "Comrade Kim Jong-un's outstanding political skills, which demonstrate the dignity and prestige of Juche Korea to the world with iron faith, will, and extraordinary leadership, evoke admiration from the public."
North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong Un paid tribute at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the 8th anniversary of National Defense Commission Chairman Kim Jong Il's passing, according to a report by Korean Central Television on December 17 last year. In front of the statues of President Kim Il Sung and National Defense Commission Chairman Kim Jong Il at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, there is a wreath bearing Kim Jong Un's name.

Since Kim Jong-un took office in 2012, no public celebrations for his birthday have been held up to last year, which marked his eighth year in power.
It is also very rare for official media such as the Korean Central News Agency and Rodong Sinmun, as well as propaganda outlets like Uri Minjokkkiri and Meori, to mention Chairman Kim's birthday.
The only report referencing his birthday was from January 8, 2014, when former NBA player Dennis Rodman, known to have a friendly relationship with Chairman Kim, visited North Korea and said, "I came to Korea to celebrate the Marshal's (Kim Jong-un's) birthday," according to the news agency.
Last year, he even spent his 35th birthday in China. He visited China for a summit meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Meanwhile, Chairman Kim's birthday is reportedly still marked as a regular weekday on this year's North Korean calendar.
