Junggonara Announces Bank Calendar Ranking That 'Brings Money In'
Top 5 Banks Calendar Transactions: Woori, Kookmin, Nonghyup, Shinhan, Hana in Order
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Junggonara, a secondhand trading platform, announced on the 6th that among the calendars produced by the five major domestic banks in December, Woori Bank ranked first with 264 secondhand transactions.
The calendar ranked second after Woori Bank was KB Kookmin Bank with 192 transactions. This was followed by NH Nonghyup Bank (164 transactions), Shinhan Bank (117 transactions), and KEB Hana Bank (103 transactions). Although the demand for paper calendars has decreased, bank calendars are very popular nationwide, with fierce competition at each branch due to the superstition that "hanging it at home brings money."

Currently, the market price of bank calendars traded on Junggonara does not differ according to the bank brand. However, there is a twofold difference between calendars distributed according to customer grade, such as "VIP customer wall calendar" priced at 10,000 won and "general customer wall calendar" at 5,000 won. This is interpreted as due to differences in paper quality and finish. A Junggonara official said, "Many people visit Junggonara to purchase at reasonable prices, but there are also quite a few who buy limited edition products like bank calendars that cannot be found in the market," adding, "Since each Junggonara member operates like a one-person store, many rare products are listed."
